Introducing Our Spokespersons…

Auckland Regional Coordinator: Caleb Brown

Auckland Regional Coordinator: Caleb Brown

“NZ has some of the worst child abuse statistics in the world. Now is the time to tackle the real causes of child abuse, not good parents raising good citizens. It’s time youth stood up against this problem. It’s time we took our stand. This only way this problem can be sorted is by ALL New Zealanders standing together and saying ‘NO’”

Check out Caleb’s latest press release stating that voting yes will not prevent child abuse.

Hi, my name is Rachel Thompson. I am 17 years old. I believe as youth we have an obligation to speak up against the abuse of children. We are the next generation and with this comes a huge responsibility, and we must start taking on this responsibility now.

Canterbury Regional Coordinator: Matt Van Voorthuizen

Canterbury Regional Coordinator: Matt Van Voorthuizen

Hi, my name is Matthew. Child abuse is a serious problem here in New Zealand. If we’re going to deal with it we need to understand the causes of child abuse and deal with these causes - not slam all New Zealand parents for using reasonable physical discipline for the purposes of correction while child abuse continues to occur unchecked.

Spokesperson: Emily Peach

Hi, my name is Emily. We all know that the horrible amount of child abuse in New Zealand is just awful. It is not just statistics, it is real people whose lives are being ruined, and its time that we as youth, and New Zealand as a country stood up against this injustice and start to address the real causes of child abuse.

Check out Emily’s latest press release regarding child abuse and the upcoming referendum.

Spokesperson: Charles Smith

Spokesperson: Charles Smith

Hi my name is Charles. I’m 19 years old. I believe child abuse is a very serious problem in New Zealand. We must take action now to prevent New Zealand’s bad statistics of Child abuse from continuing by tackling the real causes of child abuse. Tell the government that making smacking a criminal offense will not reduce child abuse by voting no in the referendum.
